1. About FosterReady

FosterReady is a free training and preparation platform for people considering becoming foster carers in the United Kingdom. We provide educational content, self-assessment tools, and connections with verified fostering agencies.

FosterReady is not a fostering agency. We do not approve, register, or place foster carers. We help you prepare for the formal assessment process run by registered agencies.

2. Free for Carers

The FosterReady platform is completely free for carers. You will never be charged for:

• Creating an account
• Completing training modules
• Using the eligibility checker
• Building your portfolio
• Declaring FosterReady™ status

Our revenue comes from agencies who pay for introductions to FosterReady™ carers.

3. Account Responsibilities

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us of any unauthorised access

4. Training Content

Our training content is designed to prepare you for the fostering assessment process. However:

• It does not replace formal agency training or assessment
• Completing our training does not guarantee approval as a foster carer
• Content is for educational purposes and should not be treated as legal or medical advice
• We update content regularly but cannot guarantee it reflects the very latest statutory guidance

5. FosterReady™ Declaration

When you declare yourself FosterReady™:

• Your anonymised profile becomes visible to verified fostering agencies
• Agencies may request an introduction, which you can accept or decline
• You can pause or withdraw your declaration at any time
• We do not guarantee that agencies will contact you or that you will be approved

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the FosterReady platform — including training materials, quiz content, design elements, and branding — is owned by FosterReady. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Provide false information on your profile or assessments
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract content
• Interfere with the platform's security or functionality

8. Limitation of Liability

FosterReady is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Decisions made based on our training content
• The outcome of any fostering application or assessment
• Actions taken by fostering agencies
• Service interruptions or data loss

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
