3. How We Use Your Data

- Provide and personalise your fostering training experience
- Track your progress towards FosterReady™ status
- Send you progress emails and re-engagement nudges (you can opt out at any time)
- Connect you with fostering agencies when you declare FosterReady™ (only with your explicit consent)
- Improve our platform through anonymised analytics
4. Agency Matching & Data Sharing
When you declare yourself FosterReady™:
- Your profile becomes visible to verified fostering agencies
- Agencies see your readiness score, training completion, and general location (postcode area only)
- Agencies cannot see your full name, email, or phone number until you consent to an introduction
- You can pause or withdraw your profile at any time
Agencies pay us for introductions. You never pay anything.
5. Legal Basis
We process your data under the following legal bases:
- Consent: For agency matching, email communications, and cookies
- Legitimate interest: For platform improvement and fraud prevention
- Contract: To provide the training services you signed up for
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
