Statutory Framework & Practice Standard
Parent and Child fostering (often called Mother and Baby fostering) involves hosting a young parent alongside their infant in your home for a time-limited period (typically 12 to 24 weeks).
Your role is to mentor, observe, and guide the parent in developing safe parenting skills while social services assess whether the parent can care for the child independently.
